Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March the year 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer as well as former worker in the factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her three siblings. Stone, who was gifted when she was a young child, began her second-grade education at age five. In 1975 she was a graduate of Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). She was also a contestant at Saegertown's Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, which she won Miss Crawford County. Stone was able to move in New Jersey with her aunt in 1977, to pursue a modeling career, signing up with the Ford Modeling Agency within a month. In Europe, she lived for a year in Milano and Paris. Stone was unhappy with the modeling market in Europe but decided to focus on acting instead. Woody Allen's movie, "Stardust Memories", was a mixed success in her 20s.
