Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by an ethnically mixed family. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss while her mother was English. She was born and raised on a council estate south of London. When she was fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. She attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained a BA in acting. She was on stage in many productions while attending school including the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine, and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her acting career with Storm Damage. She has appeared as a guest on Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her debut film as a performer came from her role in the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Her popularity resulted in her being cast as Elisha as a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. Later, she appeared in the six-episode series Trexx & Flipside in the role of Ollie. Madekwe played Bambi as Bambi in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the comedic How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). Her credits in theatre includes Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe first aired in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama program ran on The CW for only two episodes, but it was removed from the air. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular in the drama series on ABC Revenge during two seasons. In May 2013 that she'd leave the series after making an appearance in the very first episode of season three. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star as Tituba on the show Salem. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were married in June 2012. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played as a couple in Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by the large family. She was born to Roy and Patty Leggat. She was raised by both parents Roy and Patty together with four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball parks because her four athletic brothers all were hockey players, baseball players, as well as both during summer and winter. Ashley could not walk but could dance. This led to the fact that at the age of 2 when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. It was then that she discovered Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions for jazz, tap hip hop, ballet Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre and pointe until she graduated from high school. Ashley was awarded the top soloist prize at each major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more, just to mention some.
